I am the lucky new owner of Larry's GTO. I have wanted a 350 for a long time and although financially it's a little tough right now, I just felt like this was going to be an opportunity that shouldn't be passed up. Took a 4 hour trip up to meet Larry today. What a great guy! And he has the most amazing collection of Bridgestones, parts, and dealer memorabilia, just about one of everything. The bike has a few needs but is very nice and hopefully shouldn't take much to get sorted. Spent about 2 hours talking with Larry about his days as a Bridgestone dealer, history on some of the bikes, etc. He's one of the nicest, most friendly people I've ever met and can't say enough good things about the guy. If anyone is looking for a project bike, he has an entire barn full of rusty old broken down Bridgestones that are good enough to restore and it seems like he would like to find new homes for some of them. As for the collection, I don't think he's really looking to part with any of the other nice ones just yet. He really seems to love collecting and working on them. Walking in to his place, it feels as if you are back in 1969 and are walking in to a working Bridgestone dealership! The highlight of the day, he brought out his 175 Racer and let me take it for a ride up the road! Brought back feelings I hadn't felt since I was a kid, when you got ahold of that next bigger and better bike that you never thought you'd be lucky enough to ride. Just thought I would share this with you guys.
