The "collecting them back" comment from Craig Vetter at the bottom of the page this link takes you too cracked me up. I can relate to donors/seller/gifters remorse. Want to keep everything...lol. You would not believe some of the stuff I "can't let go".
And Karl's fairing is a dead ringer for the 800 in the link...very cool!

Mine's a Vetter, but I think it's probably the series 1000. It sounds as if the Series 800 was sized for bikes like the BS 175. This one would overwhelm a 175. If I get ambitious enough to drag it down off the shelf in the barn, I'll verify it.

Your place sounds like mine, Karl. I have stuff stashed everywhere!
My GTR came to me with a Vetter. I am not sure which model, but likely a 1000 if they were ones that fit the GTR.
Hence my interest in more info. If you do drag it down from the rafters, I would be interested in the mounting hardware.
The headlight/upper bracket that I have is (I'm sure not original) a kluge. So would love to see what the original stuff looks like.
I will try to figure out what model and serial mine is, but I recoated it in the '70's, so not sure I'll be able to find it.
