Old part number identification
« on: July 08, 2014, 10:33:16 AM »
Hi guys,
I got a bunch of small cylindrical air filters, with a Bridgestone part number GA1-62110, from Ray, here in Ireland.
Any ideas what model they are from, and anybody any interest in them.
Thanks,
Paul.

Thanks Moonpup, can you tell me what model that was, as we had very few Bridgestones over here in Ireland, other than the 175 and much later, the 350.

Just for the record, guys,

These early parts numbers only applied to the early model single-cylinder engines. Bridgestone had changed to the more familiar "1305-8000" type numbers by the time that the 175 appeared (and later 350c, 100,, and 200cc models).

The Bridgestone "7" ("Sportster"?) used part numbers prefixed by "M" for cycle parts and prefixed by "E" for engine parts. "GA" parts were (as Moonpup said) for the BS50 "Homer", "GB" parts were for the BS50 Sport (the disc-valve engine) and, I think "GB21" referred to BS60 Sport parts. The original 90 part numbers were "EA-1",  90 Trail parts were "EAT-1", and (I think) "EA-2" parts were for the original 90 Sport.

Hope that helps.
