Title: new member, old owner
Post by: 1965BS90M on March 07, 2014, 06:29:42 PM
Just joined today. I have a 65 Bridgestone 90 Mountain that I bought in 1968 when I was 16. It needs pretty much a total restoration, but I am set to retire in 4 weks, and it's going to be one of my first projects. Last time it was run was in about 1999 when my youngest son was 15. The starter broke then (just zips down without turning the crank). We started to disassemble but gave up for lack of time. I'll post a pic once I get started on the project. I do know I need a fuel shutoff valve (and associated plumbing so let me know how to find that), as it has never had the right one on it since I've had it (going on 46 years now!). The bike has a homemade buddy seat, and I still have the original gear rack for the back too.

You are in the right place. The site owner Richard Clark can help you with parts and site members are helpful with repair info. Good Luck and welcome.
Later Mike
