« on: July 14, 2012, 10:20:09 PM »
Motorcycles from the past.
This a picture of my old ZZR 1100 Kawasaki i was on the way to Ireland for a long weekend.
It was a very fast motorcycle, and reliable and good head lights i had good times on that
Motorcycle.
Thanks.

My first motorcycle as a teenager a Honda SS125A.

This gave me the freedom to get around and travel, maintenance was not an issue, how I survived I'll never know.

Hey ziggy, my first bike was also a Honda, it was a red CL90 like this one.

Guess I've always been a "upswept pipe" kinda guy!  ;D

This is my first on the road motorcycle a Yamaha DT 125 1975.
If you look around the fork leg you will see a wrap around L plate.
You could only ride up to 125cc with learner plates on the motorcycle.
When you past your test off they came, and a bigger motorcycle was
On the horizon.
Thanks.
Steve.

Honda SS125A was the first bike I used. My grandfather gifted me the bike when I was 18 years. It was an old one but still it runs perfectly. I love all the Honda bikes. They are so easy to maintain.

My first registered and street driven motorcycle is this 1978 GS1000.  People familiar with these bikes thought I was crazy for not starting out on something smaller.

Bein in motorcycle sales and service in the 60's and 70's I witnessed a lot of people ride their first bike. I agree with ziggy ;D But very commendable on your part.

That was 12 years ago and I still have the old GS in my collection.  I take it out for a thrashing every now and then.

That's pretty cool. I wish I still had all my old personal bikes. There were over 40, but it would put a strain on my brain to try and remember all of em ;D
