Title: RADIO CONTROL HELICOPTERS.
Post by: reed on February 20, 2012, 08:34:35 PM
Radio control helicopters.
One of my hobbies is i like to fly indoor and outdoor Helicopters.
It makes a change from working on motorcycles all the time.
I have one with a video cam so i can take movies from the air.
So sometime i will post a video .
Thanks.
Steve.

I know were getting way off topic in here but it is amazing to see these things so affordable. When I was a kid yould have to but everything seperately: the body and frame were a kit but then you'ld have to put the motor in and buy a radio and servors. It would be 7 to 8 hundred dollars before yould be ready to fly.

Hahahaha, yes I remember a friend of mine and I calculated we were crashing so often and spending so much on repairs that it would have been cheaper to train on a real helicopter! I am not joking. I started with R/C helis very early in the game (before gyros even) and they were a right bastard to fly and maintain. Strangely enough it led to a job flying UAVs all over the world and good money to boot so everything turned out fine!

banannahobby.com seems to be a good place to get em. I have two little ones, indoor only. They are a blast!
