Title: Mach II SS battery mount
Post by: Motogary on February 12, 2023, 11:08:53 AM
Does anyone have a picture of this they could share? Mine came with the battery held in by a twist of house wiring, and I'm not sure of what parts I need. Searches have turned up a rubber strap similar to a BS 90, but also a piece which looks like it may be hinged to the frame, but I can't see how that would work on my frame.

Hello Mate,

There is a drawing in the Parts Manual (page 26) which can be downloaded from this site.
It's the same as fitted to the 175's and it bolts to the frame above the tool box.

The friendly folk at MRC Cycle (Wisconsin) have used ones:
https://mrccycle.com/?year=&make=bridgestone+175&part=battery+box&sort=EndTimeSoonest

I've seen NOS hinge pins & the long bolt for the front strap on-line recently.
The spacer for the long bolt is available here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184546673468?epid=686143912&hash=item2af7d6c33c:g:-nYAAOSw1eZfuYWY

Look a little harder & you are likely to find all of what you're missing.

Good Hunting!

Awesome!!! I didn't know about the parts manual, and MRC is kind of local to me and I've bought from him before.
