Poor quality of original BS plating

Hi All,
Just picked up a couple more 350's. A gold gto and a gtr. Also a lot of NOS 350 parts, it is amazing how poor the original plating is on item like fenders. I had forgotten since it has been a long time  since I saw my last new rear fender. The original chrome is very thin. I guess that is why they all rusted very quickly if they were not taken very good care of.
