good luck
« on: December 12, 2010, 12:15:40 PM »
The snow blower started on the first pull this winter! No aches and pains yet.
The blizzard gave us about 10" of blowing snow, and the road grader is at the end of the street taking his lunch break. We should be good for Monday morning.
I pulled the batteries out of the bikes yesterday.
Does anybody think there is any validity to the old adage of not storing a battery on a concrete floor?
I've got mine sitting on several layers of cardboard because of that old rumor.

That use to be true many years ago.... not so much anymore.

Thanks moonpup,
A couple years ago I remember my dad saying he'd read that a battery could be stored for long periods in the freezer so it wouldn't discharge much. Don't think I'll ever try that tip.

If you use a "Battery Tender", you don't even have to take it out of the bike. Been doing it that way for 25 plus years now..................Jim

I agree with you a Battery Tender and leave the battery in the motorcycle that's the way to go!
Thanks.
Steve.
