Title: FNG in Salt Lake City, UT building a brat!
Post by: dsedwards on May 12, 2016, 02:41:28 PM
Hi everybody!

My name is Donald and I'm 31. My wife recently gave me the go ahead to start a project that I've wanted to do my whole life. Fix up an old motorcycle. My budget is pretty tiny, but once she gave me the green light I hit the classifieds pretty hard! I found a '66 BS 175 Dualtwin that was needing some love. Previously, I had never heard of Bridgestone motorcycles. I immediately fell for the straight lines and simplistic styling. I was immediately reminded of a cafe racer. I knew I had to have it. I'm going over to pick it up tonight. This baby is going to be torn down and rebuilt. I want to build it up as a brat style racer while still maintaining the style of the bike and use as many original parts as possible. I am so excited to do this project and I look forward to sharing the progress and story with you all! Here is the pic of the listing that I am purchasing

Congratulations.

You will find this site helpful in many ways.
Be sure to download the service and parts manual for your bike.

Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Randy

Thanks Randy!

I've already used the printer at work to download and print the service manual for the 175 Dualtwin. Just don't tell my boss that I used up 82 pages of company ink for personal use  ;) ;D
