I just added a few photographs of the progress of the SR 100.
I installed the seat and switch. (little by little)
On to getting it ready to run.

I'll keep you posted.

Nice work Randy, sadly no SRs were sold by dealers in Australia (that I know of).  Although the Hodaka Super Rat 100 was sold here. Similar to the SR 100 with a Duplex tubular frame.

I see the SR 100 has a 12 volt system. Is it Pre-mix or Oil Injection? I note that you have a good parts supply also - lucky chap  :) :) :)
Cheers

Ray,

No oil injection. You pre-mix the fuel.

I have added a few photographs of the tank now back on the bike. I have to decide if I am going to having it painted or leave it all chrome.
The photographs are under the SR section.

Hi Randy,
Looks like they did a great job. Far nicer than original, looks like it could blind you in the sun. You will probably choose paint after the first walk around with it on the bike without paint. Really nice.

Randy,

Tank looks great and the quality of the work seems to be on par with my experience using the now defunct Brown's Plating.

Have you done any research on a paint match for the red on the SR's?

Rowland,

If I do decide to have it painted, I have a NOS red side cover
I'm going to tell the painter to match.

I hope by doing that the color will be close.

Nice job. I have various nos painted parts and they all vary in the metal flake.
Eg .the Nos tool box for the 175 is lighter and has more flake than 175 fork ears and vary sightly with  finer flake than the headlight bucket. I have a gold nos 350 side cover which has more corse flake than the  candy red nos parts. The house of kolor candy red which I just bought is prettywell a match to the gold flake. Though I don't know if the actual gold is factory or was painted by  a distributor of the time.

Hey Randy,
Anxious to hear it running. I have never heard one run before. Can't wait till I get to start mine. Just to wheels and tires to the shop today for mounting. Once it is on wheels completion will come quickly I hope.

I just sent my only Bridgestone SR 100 clutch cable to Motion Pro
to be reproduced. I tried sending them photographs and a diagram
with dimensions but they need the actual cable.

They may need to use the original tightener, if they can't match it.

I have my fingers crossed.

The original cable was very yellowed and cracked in two locations.
It worked. But it didn't match the other cables in appearance.

I'll keep everybody posted.

I will also post a few pictures of the SR 175 I have started to restore.

Thank you for your service to all the veteran's out there.

Randy, I have used Motion Pro to reproduce and build custom cables. They are very capable. Always best to be concerned, but my bet is it'll turn out great.
