alternator question

on a 175 DT how do you know if you have a 1/2 speed alternator or a full-speed alternator.

     Have a look at the points cam. 2 lobes = 1/2 speed, 1 lobe = full speed.   
 The points used are also different, there is a service letter which shows the changes, maybe one of our members can post a link.
