Title: Wheel hubs
Post by: Irishrower on June 04, 2010, 01:34:17 PM
So my wheel hubs look pretty much like the ones Richard is cleaning up in the gallery.  Two questions:

Are the hubs plated with something?
Is there good way other than tumbling to shine them up?  I don't want to take any of the plating off.

You shouldn't worry about taking off any plating - the hubs and brake panels of the Bridgestone singles were all painted metallic silver, the same colour as used on the engine sode covers. The twin cylinder models (175/200/350) had their brakes highly polished instead.

Hope that answers yor question,

Graham
