Hello all and thanks for having me.
I recently fulfilled a longstanding ambition to own a 350 GTR.
Being a 2 stroke fan since my first bike, a Yamaha RD200 in 1980, I've been fascinated by their advanced technical features, and now that I am older and less bendy, their relatively large proportions.
The bike I have bought is incomplete, seized, and in need of much love and many parts. It's a long term project!
Fortunately I am a time-served engineer and worked as a mechanic at a Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha dealership in the past, so I have a fighting chance of success.
Getting the engine stripped, rebuilt and running is the first job - it's missing both heads, right hand cylinder, piston and exhaust. Can anyone help with these parts?
I live near Bolton in the north west of England, is anyone nearby?

Hi Lobby,
Congrats on aquiring a GTR, 3/4s is better than no Bridgestone. Welcome to the site.
I am just outside Blackpool about 40 miles away, nice to have another member in the North West. Have a GTO, 2 GTRs and a spares bike. I may be able to help you out with many of the parts you need. Click on BRT-GTR to find my email address and let me have a list of what you are short of. I need to thin the herd.
There used to be a GTR owner in Bolton, have never met him but his name appeared in the VJMC magazine from time to time as part of the Central Lancs group. Brian.

Hi, If you pop over to D and K at Stoke, they have a GTR for sale and bits, the GTR has been on the bay a few times but its never sold, think its about £1500, has pipes and a lot of shiny bits on it, if you talk to the sales men they are always willing to do a deal
