It's been an incredibly mild winter here in north central Indiana.
December was, on average, 6.2 degrees warmer than normal. January: 5.6 degrees warmer. And February, at 5 degrees above average.
The fruit farmers are really concerned about it being too warm too early, as a frost or freeze could do them in for the season if their trees start to bud too early.
We've only had surface frost in the ground, maybe a couple of inches in depth at maximum....often the ground will freeze 12-30 inches deep here in a normal winter.
We've had probably no more than 14 inches of snow here in total, usually in little 1 or 2 inch dribbles, and we've never had snow cover more than about three days before it melts off.
Looks like you may have had about a third of what we have had in total in one snowfall.
Do you typically get much snow in the winter in your location?
How do you heat that uninsulated workshop in the winter???

Steve
