Spent winter and part of summer getting my dad's old 100 running. Everything is there and works, but skips first gear. The shifting pattern is N-2-3-4-N-N-2-3-etc. In other words, after 4th gear, it goes into neutral, then the next shift (which should be first) does not engage until 2nd gear. A shop looked at it and said the gear is there and looks okay, but is not engaging. Any tips?
