Title: 90/100 engine assembly
Post by: mybridgestones on September 19, 2014, 10:04:45 AM
Hi,

Here's my little tip then for assembling the crankcases of a 90 or 100 engine.

It can be a bit fiddly trying to hold the kickstart shaft in place while trying to ease the cases together. If you let it go, it all slips out of place.

Before you start asembling then, simply locate the kickstart shaft in place and put a jubilee clip around it, so it's up tight to the the case to stop it all falling out when you turn it upside down to assemble. By doing it this way, you can concentrate on making sure it all goes together well without fear of the shaft slipping out.

Hi Stu,
What is a "jubilee clip"?

Thanks,

Basically it's a metal zip tie.
Or at least does the same job.
