I would use car engine oil, not sure what a good two stroke oil in the transmission would do. Others on this forum may have tried it and could let you know.

Also, automatic transmission fluid does work well as it is intended for clutches.

Thanks, I will change it with Klotz and see what happens. Thanks for the advice!

Someone may have put a modern friction-reducing engine oil in the transmission.  Replace it with old school plain 30W engine oil and double check the clutch adjustment per the manual (available on this forum).  It will probably be OK after a few miles and clutch release/applications.

started working on my 100tmx, got it running great but clutch seems to slip some. now this bike has been sitting a decade and has 3k miles on clock. is there a best way to flush transmission and replace oil hoping the plates are just gummed up or sticky? before i think about clutch plates?

Hello all, new owner of this 71 tmx100. First Bridgestone for me, sure I’ll have some questions. We have always been and always will be a Harley family but 3 years ago I fell in love with antique Japanese bikes and now have 5. This one, 67 305 Dream, 69 CD 175, 67 CM 90, 78 650 special to go along with my 94 Heritage that I bought new and my 19 M8 Ultra Limited.

I've always used AeroKroil.  Is it better than that?

I saw an update the other day. Mecum unwound the deal, shipped the bike back to the seller, no charge. The seller says it's the real deal, and vows to prove it to sell later.

It's really nice to see Bridgestone stuff getting recognized for being as cool as they are!  Jeff Bar
