Length of throttle cable for 350 GTR

Hi guys,  I got the broken throttle cable out of the triple connector now I need the length of a good cable so I can make another one for the 350 GTR.  Does anyone have the length of just the cable from the triple connector to the throttle grip where it connects to the grip?  Thanks,  Harry

Actually, if it's not for a "show" restoration, Harry if doing us a favor by salvaging the old one and keeping a nos cable available for those that may need one in the future.... just say'n

As far as saving nos cables for show restorations, I get it,  that is all well and good.  However there are a number of places though that will make you a new cable for a reasonable price.  If you want to further your skills by repairing one that is great also.  As for me...I'm older, time is precious and especially in the summer I would rather ride than wrench.  When I get a little older and no longer feel safe riding that may change.  For now though...."Life's short, brake late."

Yes I know what you're saying but I like building stuff so it's not hard to find the time.  Besides I really banged up my leg trying to start the bike and it needs a rest for about a week so I have time to build the throttle cable.  Will let you know how it comes out.  Later, Harry

Harry, help your leg next time. Get some model airplane fuel (I've used 15% nitro variety), shoot maybe half a teaspoon in each carb before you kick it next time. If it won't sputter with that, then you're not close to achieving combustion.

Thanks, Smokey,  I'll give it a try.  As an old control line flyer I know this fuel is greajavascript:void(0);t.  Hope it isn't too hot for the motor.  Harry

Well Guys I tried to build my own throttle cable out of one that I thought was the same size.  Turns out that the knob on the end was slightly smaller than the original and kept turning in the handle slot so today I ordered a new one from Richard.  Had to try my own first so it just cost me some time.  Thanks again for all your suggestions.  Harry
