A Few Parts Needed To Finish a GTR-Help!
« on: February 11, 2023, 06:18:29 PM »
Need the folowing to complete my '67 GTR:

6 of 0311-0525 air cleaner housing screws-early JIS, and very hard to find.
3 of 0311-0510  air filter element screen screws
1 of 0121-0506 hex bolt, muffler baffle
1 of 09511-149 12X45 hex bolt
1 of 0142-1220 Hex bolt D

Tried requesting these through Richard's 6X6 site, but no response. Any help appreciated, especially on the obsolete JIS hardware. Thanks!

You can find the m5 screws with the 0.9 pitch here...
https://www.zed-parts.com/jis-phil-pan-head-pre-1967-pitch-sc
Then search the site for any of the other bits you need.

Regarding the 12X45 and 12X20 hex bolts that secure the seat: Are these coarse or fine thread?

Thanks in advance.

All the 12mm JIS bolts on the GTR have a 1.5mm thread pitch.  Current ISO 12mm bolts have a 1.75mm pitch.

It is classed as a fine thread but check with the supplier because a 12 x 1.25 fine pitch is also available.
Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!
