Bert,
I would definitely leave them "raw" and clear coat them with either powder coat or high temp. paint.

The metal work really does stand on its own, so I'll consider your suggestion seriously.

My friend wants to sell his J&R chamber replica because of he will sell his 1970 GTR.
He have used the set only 5 months (sunny weekend only).
It is still in good condition.
