1966 BS 175DT rim size - what is the largest I can use?

Right now, there are 2.75 (front) and 3.00 (rear) section tires which I believe the A 1.60 rim fits (18").  What is the largest rim size I can go for this bike? Could I go to A 1.85 rim that fits 3.50 and 4.00 section tires or even bigger?

Im currently needing to find out the same question! Have you fitted 350-18 or 400-18?

Here's mine from 1972 with a 4.00-18 knobby on the back and a 3.50-18 knobby on the front.  That's probably a little overkill for the street.  :)
