picture of fresh paint on gtr battery cover
« on: March 16, 2013, 12:06:08 PM »
Hi All,
Here is a picture of the battery cover I just had painted. Needs to be outside on bike to get proper look but color turned out really nice. I will take some more pictures when tank and oil tank are done. Should show the true color better when hanging on bike.

Mike

Paint really looks beautiful, great job. ;D

The chrome and red gas tank makes the statement for the GTR.  I think its
time and money well spent to make sure its right.

Hi Gene,

I do not have the color here at the house. When I go back to my painter this week I will get the code and type. I will post it then.
Thanks Mike

That looks so good, I hope my paintwork looks as well, here's a link for paint, it's who I'm going to get my paint off, I believe they have an outlet in the US now too, and no I'm not plugging them and don't work for them, I think it might be of help to members.
Regards Colin.

Very nice, Mike! Makes me want to get my GTR done ASAP, but my '73 Z-1 is taking up most of the funds/time for now.

Rsbikepaint, that's the company that supplied the paint for my bike.

That tank looks lush, might get mine painted in the next few weeks just so I can put it in the sitting room and look at it during the ads on tv, wonder if the missus will like it too  ::)

I contacted them to see if they carry the GTO Imperial Gold color paint and they do not.  They also didn't have much interest in figuring out the formula and offering it to the masses.  Too bad, I think they are missing out.
It would definitely be a good seller for them.  Oh well.

Hi All,
Added picture at the start of this post for my gas tank and oil tank. This set will go on my rider bike when I am not using the tank with chevrons on it. Next set will have better chrome and go on my show bike. Long project.
Thanks Mike
