phillips panhead screws for the 350 air cleaner box
« on: August 07, 2011, 09:06:25 AM »
Hi All,

Has anyone on the site found a source for the screws that are used to fasten the air box on 350's. That is an odd size, I am sure someone else has already run into the problem. M5-0.9 does not show up on any of the fastener sites as available. The tap is in all Metric tap sets but for some reason I can not find the fasteners. Hopefully some of our members with more Metric experience can help me out.
Thanks in advance.

I got some from Richard that were just a touch shorter, maybe about 1/8 of an inch, they work just fine.

If you use those.... I will always know that your bike has short screws.    ;D

Stupid Tom

I have a tilt wheel for more headroom!

I Goggle around a bit......M5 x .9 does seem to be rare.
I remember them as the size for my RD 125 baffle screws and the Suzuki T200 baffles screws that go with the mufflers for my friend in Iceland.
I did find a site that has some....although only one length.....and not cheap.

They have complete screws sets for lots of different bikes.

See this link:

The vendor cut me some hex cap screws that I used for my air cleaner and rear two screws on the RHS carb/clutch cover.  I will gladly part with my original screws.
