Here is my jewel in all of it's glory. It was given to me by my grandfather who got it brand-new in '68 as a gift. It is still in "barn find" condition from sitting 30 years in various storage sheds and garages. Overall, it's is in good condition and is an easy 99% complete. All it took was a new oil pump, oil lines, fuel lines, petcock, and a set of carburetors just to make tuning easier, and a key switch that I adapted from a Kawasaki. My ultimate goal is to do a full restoration but for now I'm going to make sure everything is working and running good so I can enjoy it.

If I'm reading it right, it looks as though you have it running now? Check your pers. mail. Thanks, Mark.

It definitely is running, the youtube link is for a short clip of it doing a one kick cold start in my garage.

Thus "video" in the title! Blew right by the link. Looks like a nice project. Mark.

Good job gettin it runnin so well. Thanks for the video.

That's sweet!
Is the burro for sale?

Nice to see the GTR came back to life relatively easily.
If mine were parked next to yours before my accident they would have looked like blue was a factory made color.

Thanks. I did was change the trans oil, replace the petcock bleed the oil system, throw on a new set of carbs and adjust them, and threw in a new battery and she started right up. I haven't even gone through any of the electrical or ignition yet but it all works. I guess my grandfather's wood shed with all of his chainsaws was the ideal location for long term storage. Who knew.

Sounds like it could use a tune-up, maybe a new set of points and plugs. Kawasaki A1, A7, and KZ1000 points interchange.

I will definitely do that, thanks for the cross reference for the points. Once I get done with the next two weeks at my job I'm going to dive in and clean more up than just the fuel and oil systems.
