Vintage Bridgestone Photos
« on: October 16, 2015, 07:33:34 PM »
Over the years as I've surfed the net, I've collected a few vintage photos of Bridgestone's that I thought I'd now share with everyone.

If anyone has vintage photo's they've collected or maybe have of their own bikes... please feel free to add them to the thread. I'll post more as I find them.

here's some more. I'm not sure the last one is vintage, but I just liked it, so I tossed it in.

You are correct, the bottom photo is from a magazine article that appeared in the past ten years

I personally love the bike camping pic. Some of my best memories. Only what will fit (gotta have a tent and a place for your wife to ride...;-) Not much more room. ;D ::) ;D

Thanks Paul. It still has a "vintage" look which is what drew it to me. Must have been a British bike what with the mirror on the right....  ;D

Somewhere on the net is a period photo of Wilt Chamberlain posing on a GTR.His height is readily apparent not unlike the shot of TV star Chuck Connors shilling for Benelli in the late 60's.Its out there.somewhere.

That bottom picture is from the March/April '07 issue of Motorcycle Classics.  The rider has that old style 3/4 helmet shape, which was what I wore in the early '70's on my BS100 GP.

Gary Wells,  a cycle jumper in the early 1970s, raced a BS , before he challenged Evel Knievel as a cycle jumper. I 'll look for the photos.
