hi!
« on: June 08, 2011, 12:09:03 PM »
just rolling through and wanted to say what a nice site this is.

i recently picked up my first oldie... a 1978 yamaha xs750 and am really starting to get into this whole vintage restoration thing...

so i've been combing craigslist for my next project and came across a bike advertised as 1969 bridgestone trailbike.  i didn;t even know bridgestone made  motorcycles but after doing some real light research figure that if i can get the price down this might be a great project.

i havnt been able to get the vin number to compare it to the guide on this forum but maybe some people here on the forum can point out some info from the two blurry pics the seller posted...

any info on possible model would be greatly apreciated.  im waiting on his reply for more info and hopefully better pics.

btw... here's a pic of my current scoot

after a little research i've found that it's the 1967 trail 90 model.

not sure i wanted to get a bike that small but if the price is right i guess there's room for smaller cc bikes too.  what do you think a fair price would be, assuming that it's complete in decent condition but not running.

tea2jay,
Welcome to the site.
To get a handle on what some folks are asking for different model machines, you might take a look a the Bridgestones found on web for sale link, http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?board=36.0 to get an idea of what price ranges might be.
Of course, an asking price and a selling price are sometimes different.....

Don't discount those little bikes, they are more fun that the big-uns and you can chase cats with them. More importantly you can irritate the neighbor kids with them.  ;D

Welcome to the site and I vote you should buy it!!
