If it ever had wheels and a hitch, it's a trailer.

If it ever had wheels and a hitch, it's a trailer.

It still had it's wheels behind the skirting and a hitch, so it definitely was a trailer.

Thankfully, I never fell out that back door.  ;D

Not sure I like powder blue on any bike never mind a GTR, however I would have liked to make my 1967 GTR a nice titanium colour over the chrome, you know that colour it's darker than a silver but not by much, but alas it's going to be RED !!!!  ::)
And only in case I need to sell it on, because being any other colour would make it less attractive to the sort of people who would want to pay me lots and lots of money, I might even have some Japanese air shipped over in a bottle so I can inflate the tyres with it  ;)

I think if you inflate the tires (sorry for the incorrect spelling) with nitrous oxide, you can rig a way to release it when the high rollers are perusing the bike. That should assure you top dollar as they will be laughing all the way to the bank!

That fairing did need something to reduce the wind resistance, it was close to a barn door in airflow efficiency, but it did keep me a lot warmer riding to work in the fall and winter.  I always took it back off in the spring and summer.

One of these days, I'd like to get a second GTR running, then outfit it with that fairing and a set of saddlebags.  I don't think it'll get that paint job, though.   ::)

Hi Bert,
Nitrous Oxide eh  :)
Might be that's lighter than air too so the wheels would weigh less and then the bike would be faster, just need some of those stripes and I would be in GP's  ;D

Colin, that is a benefit of nitrous I had not considered!

Karl, sounds like you are considering a GTR Dresser. Not sure I've ever seen one all the way decked out...I remember the Vetter Windjammers were really popular for a while before manufacturers started offering them as standard equipment. The shape of your fairing is reminisent. What variety is it?...

Hi Bert,
I think this might be the info you want on the faring, cutting edge in it's day.
