SAINT PATRICKS DAY.
« on: March 17, 2012, 09:16:56 PM »
Saint Patricks Day in Downtown Roanoke VA.
With more than ten-thousand people all in green
Celebrated Saint Patricks Day, Its one of the
Largest of Saint Patricks celebrations in the
Entire Mid-Atlantic region.
And on another note in the world of Rugby.
Wales secured their third Grand slam in eight
Years with a 16-9 win over France in Cardiff.
I would have loved to be there in Wales for
That game.
Picture of my Brother in law Frank at the down-
Town celebrations in his Irish Kilt.
Thanks.

That's cool. If William Wallace could wear one, it's cool. :)

Steve, I'll bet there is a difference between a Welsh kilt and a Scottish kilt, too. Do they drink hot tea? ;D

Steve
re the drinking of hot tea in UK. In Oz we also drink hot tea and decent coffee thanks to the Italian influence (post war immigration). There is quite a coffee culture here now of a consistently high standard. We don't drink brewed/stewed coffee. You often see heaps of motorcycle enthusiasts and cyclists at coffee shops.

Hey Steve,

I watched the game at my daughter's home, she's married to a Welshman.

To be honest I don't know the rules of the game but I get the idea, you have to get the squashed shaped ball over your opponents line with a spectacular dive, I think they award bonus points for the most spectacular dive. The tee shirts celebrating the Grand Slam win are being printed as we speak.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all, we the English don't celebrate St. Georges Day as much in case it offends the ethnic minority. PC gone mad.

I drink more coffee than tea, hot of course but do like an iced tea on rare hot days. :)
