HUB POLISHING TIME
« on: September 25, 2010, 12:05:00 PM »
HUB POLISHING TIME.
I have new rims and spokes and the front and rear hubs have been cleaned ready for polishing.
My question is how far do you polish the hubs a satin or mirror finish!
What do you think.
Thanks.
Reed.

Just my opinion Reed , and its based on what I have seen in pictures of restored members bikes, most if not all look to be at a brushed sort of finish look to " I am guessing " offset the bright chromed components attached to the hub. Now I would not hiss over a full mirror look to the hubs on anyones bike , but thats just me  8)

I am going to do the mirror finish on the hubs and then back end of the week lace the rims new tires etc
Then the Bridgestone will be rolling and then i will be set for the engine work.
Thanks.
Reed.

Nice Reed, tell me are you planning on clear coating the hubs or just leaving them bare and keeping up with polishing.
   Thanks,
