Description: Using an industrial aluminium based DB putty I filled and formed the void in the cases, this was left sub flush then finished off using Loctite 3471 Hysol, this is a paste like filler and gave better control in getting the machined casing faces to mate perfectly.

A small piece of polythene between the surfaces stops the filler from sticking to the adjoining surface and can be removed cleanly when the filler has set. Finish with fine wet or dry abrasive paper.

I had to use the Hysol a couple of times to get it just right.
