I must go to Tenby some time as so far the best fish and chips (f&c) I have had (consistantly) have been on the South Coast of NSW Australia cooked in Canola oil.  I have eaten f&c in Edinburgh, Scotland, Shaldon in Devon and more recently in Victoria and Vancouver B.C. as well as Boston USA. These didn't come anywhere near the ones nearby. Although I must admit that the Halibut in North America was delicious when I could locate it in the 70% batter.  I am told that the 'fush and chups' in Kiwiland (NZ) are very good also.

Cheers
