Title: Part swapping compatabilility
Post by: Pinche on October 05, 2009, 12:05:36 AM
Would the head from a BS7 work on a BS50? I know the cylinders are completely different but the heads look almost the same? It's just that I'm having a hard time finding just a head for my BS50 Sport and wondering what would work for it from other models? I downloaded a couple of the parts manuals to cross reference part numbers and the BS7 manual uses the old part numbers compared to the 50/60 manual. I noticed they also included the older p/n's but it didn't match up. Otherwise would the 60,90 or 100 sport engine bolt into the 50 frame? Wishful thinking...lol. I just want to get my 50 running.

The heads from a BS 7 and s 50 Sport are not the same, nor are engine mounts,  but the BS 50 engine mounts are same as 90-100 however; Luke

Are the heads from the 50 and 60 the same though? I found a 60 head and didn't see a seperate p/n in the 50/60 parts manual for the 60's head. I'd be cool though if I could find a good 90.
