Hi folks -
I own a 100% original TMX 100 with 180 miles showing on the odometer.
The bike is cosmetically rough, as it was stored in a shed for many years, and then in a garage for many more.
The bike has the original tires, grips, cables and all other items as far as I can tell, and it does not show any real wear from riding, just from sitting neglected.
Here is a link to pictures of the bike -

One thing I am not sure about are the rear shocks - they do not look like the shocks I expect to see on a TMX, but I will ask here what you all think on the shocks - stock or not?

Based on what you see, would you clean the bike and try to preserve it's survivor status, or would you restore it to pristine?

The shocks are not stock and you are missing the rear rack.

Thanks Mikey -
I am already potentially onto a set of stock shocks for the bike.
As for the rear rack - is this a standard item? Most of the pictures of the TMX I have seen do not show a rear rack on them, although the original owner could have easily removed this and threw it in the shed, I never saw that.
Thanks for your reply.

mqqn,
I posted pictures under the gallery 100. The orange TMX the holes were added but the rack is OEM.

Thanks Mikey!
I appreciate your doing that.
I looked at the pics of the orange one, and it appears to be a newer model than mine, with a different pipe (mine is all chrome) and some other minor differences.
Mine is a 1970 model.
Thanks also for posting the G/P pics of the green one - I can see the many similarities. I do like the look of the TMX better, with the larger tires it has a beefier look.
Do you know if the fork legs off of a SS RS175 are the same as the legs on my TMX 100? I found a set for sale and just want to make sure they will work.

The 175 fork legs and all other fork parts are not the same as the 100 Trail/TMX 100 and won't fit.

The shocks in the photo are old Yamaha Thermo-flow, off 70's motocross bikes, before they went to monoshock system
