Title: 175 racer that sold on e-bay
Post by: Mike Anderson on March 20, 2012, 07:27:42 PM
Hi All,
Does anyone know who we should be jealous of, looks like the bike sold for good money but not outrageous. Somebody is living right. Hopefully it went to someone on the site.

Looks like he quit bidding at 4 grand, sniped it and got the reserve price.

Hey Mike       The 175sr Is Headed For California   He Is A Member Or The Site But I Will Let Him Identify Himself Is He Wants To    With A Little Crome & Paint It Will Be A Nice Bike  It Ran Great With All The Right Parts    I Being The Seller Thought It Was Worth More Than A 350 But After 8288 For The GTO I Was Wrong But I Had 2 And Now Someone Else Can Enjoy A Unice Piece   GENE

Tooo Coooool,
Glad to see they are spreading around. I have a 100 racer but a 175 would be nice also. Hope he stays around the site, will be nice to see what he does with the bike. Everything that goes up for sale seems to be bringing good money and hopefully going to good homes. I think the Bridgestones may finally be heading towards being appreciated for the fine collectables they are. There don't seem to be any for sale for long. They are for sale here, craigs list, ebay and they are gone.
Thanks Mike

Hi Gene,
Interesting that he still has his bike after all this time. Did he say if the 100sr was also still there? I am sure the 90sr would be worth more than the 175 sr sold for. Keep us informed on your progress.

Just my opinion, but you don't  need to be an expert when it comes to SR's and values.

Any SR of any size is going to be worth top dollar.  Hardly any were built.  The ones that were built were beat to hell and did not survive.  That's what they were made for.

The painted tank hurt your value on the SR175.  Something so simple can mean the difference in a lot of bucks.   That was a great looking bike.  I am sure you came out on top though.

I would like to see more photos on the Forum of your SR100 as you go through the resto.  It's something we don't see everyday on here.
