KAGA Steel Rims - Bridgestone / Rockford

During a restoration - has anyone replaced factory "KAGA chrome rim(s) with a new clone replacement rim. I'm at a price point where re-plating my TAKA rims is more expensive than buying a new replacement rim. Curious if anyone has purchased a factory "clone" rim during a restoration and if so from where.
