175-350 dynamo

hi all after going to great lengths to identify a dynamo advertised as a 350 but had 175 points cover and mismatched part# appeared  to be a 175 dynamo pre 16g ,after being out bid on this item i realized something.    i am KNOWN to be WRONG!

  I am not in the market for a dynamo but I wonder how much difference there is?  I wonder if the body is the same and you could just bolt in some 350 points?  The one on Ebay already has the double condenser I believe.  Good luck.

i can get another dynamo for my 175 second hand and really all i need is the shell points and base plates as the farmer who originally had it has cut off the mounts for some reason? there is a difference between early and late 175 dynamos they run at different speeds and are not interchangeable i am lead to believe  .as for interchanging a 175 dynamo with a 350 i don't know they do look very similar though i haven't pulled the 350 dynamo off yet
