part numbers
« on: June 27, 2013, 08:02:32 AM »
I am trying to order a throttle cable for our '68 HS.  How or where do I locate the part number for that item or for any others I might need in the future?

Check the manuals section of this site, download the Early 175HS Parts Manual or the 175-200 Parts Manual.

try this link

hover over the word "download" and click on that. It should give you the option to download the pdf.

The last I knew, no one has a nos throttle cable for the HS model.
(including Richard & Certified Parts)

I had one made by Motion-Pro(if my memory is correct).
It cost $62.00 two years ago. I had to send my old
cable as a guide for them to follow.

There are other places you could have the cable made and
maybe at a better price.

Good luck.

Some bike shops can make cables, but I'm not certain if there are very many left that do.  You might call around.
