SR 175 question

(1/2) > >>

drtracr:
My Sr has compression releases in the heads. Did it come with them? They look like a very good job if some one did it in the 60's. The parts manual doesn't show anything

Got my project on the wheels, motor not ready yet.

Jimmy

paul:
The SR 175 tested by Cycle Magazine did NOT have compression release. Period ads do not mention compression releases

Richard Clark BS parts:
I raced SR175's when new and have owned many of them through the years, I can agree.
They did not have compressions releases nor were the heads drilled for them.

It was real popular in the early 1970's for owner to install them, they were sold at about
all the dealers who raced.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Richard Clark

Hi Jimmy,
Mike Anderson, we spoke Tuesday about the sr100. Have you got the pictures that you were going to post? Please let me know.
Thanks Mike

drtracr:
Mike, should have them today or tomorrow. He called today and says he has found another 175. It is a road racer, says it is in Chicago. I think he knows where all of the SR's are.
