GTO SPEEDO.

Is there a difference between a GTO and a GTR speedo.
On my GTR 350 1967 the speedo outside rim is black.
But the GTO 1971 the speedo outside rim is silver.

Steve,
Just things to check on:
Look on the under side of the rim, where the bezel wraps around under the rim, and is protected by the rubber donut.  If the rim is black there, then it's just a case of too much sun.  My memory says the black instrument bezels were particularly sensitive to sunlight and weather, losing their flat black finish at a pretty rapid rate.  Another factor to consider is that the parts book for the 350 lists only 1 part number for the speedo and for the tach, no separate numbers for the GTO.

I also have an old GTO speedo or tach that is silver colored.

I have 2 sets of speedo and tach that have silver rims they are off a 1971 Bridgestone GTO 350.
So i think that a 1971 GTR has the same speedo and tach that has silver rims etc.
But the part numbers are the same they just changed the speedo and tach later on etc.
We will see .
