BRIDGESTONE 350 CARBS
I had a set of Bridgestone 350 carbs sent to me for ultrasonic cleaning the other day and while striping them down i notice that the
Support rails that hold the float pin was oval. If this is the case you will not be able to get the float level right this is not the first one
I have seen with this problem! I got a brand new set of carbs from Richard at a very reasonable price.
So if you are doing any carb work check your support rails and float pin etc.

Reed, you've pointed out a good thing to look for.  I've also seen wear of the float pin supports, and even cases where the floats have broken. 
I believe it's caused by the location of the carbs on the 350 being fairly far from the engines center.  The shaking forces of the 180 degree crank produce a rocking motion, and the carbs are out where the motion is largest.

My old carbs have brass bushings for the float pins. Seems like in the past I have seen kits for that repair on EBay, Richard may know if kits were available from Bridgestone. I went with the new set from Richard also. My problem was both floats had leaks and the old gas had pitted the aluminum carb bodies.

I have had a good look at the bushing kits and the fact is my carbs are 43 years old and i will repair them but the ticket is that
You can get new carbs from Richard for about 150.00 that's a fantastic price if you consider going to buy carbs say for your
Honda they would be about 400.00 and maybe more.We are very fortunate that we can purchase carbs for a motorcycle
That's 43 years old and a company not in business anymore i will definitely buy new.

I agree with you but if you check the bush that inside the carb bore the damage seems to be done if the bushing has cracks.
The bushing is part of the carb i have seen this on some Kawasaki models as well!
