Save some scratches and frustration. Spend a few minutes with a file and an old piece of sheetmetal!
Here's the tool I made with a 1/2 round rasp and a 1/16th inch piece of sheetmetal. Filed away metal to leave a small square hook at the end, just enough to catch in the slots in the ring that secures the ignition switch to the bracket, on 350's and I believe 175/200's.
