Title: Fuel mix for Chibi
Post by: fourcorp1 on January 08, 2011, 09:34:34 AM
What is the best fuel mix ratio for a chibi?  Is the oil to use the same as I mix for my chain saw?  Gas cap says gasoline 2 oil 1.  Seems a bit rich to me.

The Rockford Chibi dealers service manual posted on this site lists the ratio as 15:1 for break-in, and 20:1 after.  2 to one would indeed be pretty rich, might not run at all!

Service manual is located here:  http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=21 (http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=21)

Is 20:1 still a good ratio when using modern oil? I've been running 40:1 in the 175 engine in my ice racing bike using Golden Spectro. http://www.spectro-oils.com/products/2stroke/goldenspectro.asp? (http://www.spectro-oils.com/products/2stroke/goldenspectro.asp?) I got rid of the injection pump.
