Japanese identification numbers
« on: October 23, 2017, 08:40:00 PM »
Some time ago a member posted info re stamped numbers on BS parts. I think they referred to dates manufactued. I am currently restoring a ?1967 Australian delivered 100 Sport. Number inside front brake drum is 7 5 22.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ray

Here's a link to the thread Ray, but the numbers you posted don't seem to fit.

7 5 22 would date it as July 5, 1947. Are you sure it's 22 and not 42?

Thanks Mike

Yes it it quite clearly shows 7 5 22.
It is printed via ? Stamp, maybe refers to something else or a typo😀

Cheers

July 5th. 1967 was a Wednesday, so there goes my "Hangover Monday" theory!
