727 key

g day all
i found that my 727 key will work on all of my ignition switches 721 727 and 725 all are 175dt and the 350gtr 732 .all of my other keys will only work with there matching switches .is 727 a master key

By way of contrast, my 175 has a #727 steering lock, and a #734 key fits it quite happily. So, maybe #734 is a master key? More likely, the locks were not designed to be high security items, and maybe other keys fit once the lock gets a bit worn?

I do remember back in 1969/70 when I had my original BS90, there were two other identical bikes sold by the same dealer, and they all used the same #950 ignition keys. Real hi-tech vehicle security!!

it is good to know i have a spare key that will work on everything.speaking of wear i had a rd250g that you could start with any old key ,house key etc
