Title: BS Tailung Questions
Post by: Bridgestoneboy on June 30, 2018, 10:43:31 PM
Recently I was scrolling though a Bridgestone Facebook page I follow when I can across a post of a BS Tailung. With a hazy understanding of this bike and how it came to be, I figured I'd jump on the forums and ask the community; what exactly are these bikes? My understanding is that they were made from Bridgestone tooling bought after Bridgestones demise in 71. So were the motors made with the same performance and skill as the Rockfords, or were they something of their own? I've also seen the BS Tailung badges on a bike that also has Suzuki seats and side covers? Any comments would be awesome, just searching to see what insight you guys may have on the topic.

Are these Thai BRidgestones still sold? Engine looks like a second or third generation BS rotary valve single.

Paul, to help clarify. BS Tailung was a company based in Taiwan (island off China). They probably sold bikes in Thailand and other parts of Asia such as Viet Nam in the early 1970s. I have bought some NOS parts still around from Thailand in the last few years. I doubt that there would be many complete bikes still left in Asia. I have seen some youtube and images of restored Bridgestones in Vietnam.
Cheers
Ray
