With 12 bids, there's someone that doesn't think it's too expensive.

Ah ... all in the eyes of the beholder.

I Honda CB 750 sand cast - one of the first 4 shown at the launch in 1968 / 1969 went for .... hold your breath ... US$ 120,000.00 - just last week. These 4 are not the same as the other 7,000 odd sand cast versions that were sold afterwards.

As we know from our own little SR-175 inventory check we have located 28 in various forms of assembly, out of what I suspect was a production run of about 750. So if you "really" want one for your collection and in the condition that was advertised, then this is the price.

Goes to show you that having your money in anything but a bank these days is a better bet. At least with a bike you can fondle it everyday. Money in the bank at close to zip % interest you can only see the number on a computer screen ?

later ... and my 2 cents on what things are worth and perspective .. ray

As it took 2 to get it to that price, those with one to sell should be looking for the second guy ??... haha

With that one going for that price, I think there will be a few more come out of the barns.

Unless this one was sold "off site", the bids did not meet the reserve and technically wasn't sold via eBay....

Don't know who owned it but likely sold after the auction. Everybody wins that way and the bandits don't get their payments. I would think the bike brought at least that much. Pretty nice piece.
