Barber's
« on: October 09, 2019, 11:41:42 AM »
Did anyone go to Barber's? If so, was there any Bridgestone's?

I see they have a BS 175 SR on display at the museum. Several hears ago Larry
Young and I went there and they only had a BS 175 HS on display. It actually was
a DT according to the serial number.

We asked one of the guides if they had more Bridgestone's and he said they had
a 175 SR in the storeroom. Maybe they finished the restoration and placed that one
on display.

Thank you for your response.

Yes they have been restoring the bike for some time, I understand it's done now.

Craig Hirko and I raced our Bridgestones at Barber. Craig raced his 200 in Formula 125 and won on Saturday and got second on Sunday. He did have a blow up in Fri practice with a holed piston. I broke a RH rotary valve on Thurs practice. Weather was hot and muggy and I never got mine running that well. I was down to a 160 main jet and it was still to rich. There were several Bridgestones for sale in the swapmeet areas. There was a 200 missing a few parts for $200. I saw several 175's and a handful of 100's for sale. Barber has a room where they sell project bikes from the museum. There was a TMX 100 and a 200 for sale but a bit pricey.

Thanks Paul.

It is great to hear that there were Bridgestones's out on the track.

It is also great to hear there are still some Bridgestone's out there.
