Hello everybody,
It was really nice to go to the Salon Moto Légende last Saturday, 30 miles back and forth, carving through heavy traffic, at times even slowed down by modern bikes (between lines of cars...), my 350 being particularly excited to meet other members of the family ! We were not disappointed as we finally found the Bridgestone stand with 4 models on show (see the pics).
I met the BS regional m/cycle tires product manager, Marc Schacinger, who was a bit surprised to hear I had taken my GTO for a ride to the show. We talked about the bikes (the white GTO and the Mach II SS were the best of the bunch while the GTR, owned by Bridgestone France, was IMHO poor on detailing despite a recent restoration), and about tires... the GTR and the GTO were shod with period Bridgestone tires (not for sale) but he confirmed that Bridgestone had no plans to run a small batch of repro tires (they have to produce large numbers).
Marc told me the BS stand was very successful with many people very curious about the bikes and their technical features. And sorry GTR owners but the GTO seemed to attract most of the attention
