How do you remove the carb on the 175/200.? I have the right side carb cover off but that's as far as I got. ::)

On the front of the engine there is a small hole near the carb covers. If your lucky the dirt lugs will still be in the hole. Just remove it and go in flat with a flat head screwdriver. You'll hit a bolt head with a nut on the other side of the mount. Just loosen the just a bit and then the carb should just wiggle off but be careful.

The left side is the same way just opposite. There is a aluminum ring/cap guide for the right side only. Don't lose that or break it.

Update: Although I've been "nursing" a bad back, I managed to get the right-side carb off. Took the bowl off and found black gunk on the right side bottom of the float bowl. Looked as if the float had stuck in this gunk. Also, the float was three colors: brass (of course), yellow and green.!! Cleaned it up but that's as far as I've gotten. Was unable to locate any pin holes in the float. Anyone have any ideas as to how I could "test" for pin holes in the float.?? Also trying to re-wire the bike. The guy I bought it from "butchered" the wiring around the ignition switch. I've bought marine grade tinned copper wire (several different colors and AWG's) AND the proper crimp-on connectors and crimping tool.  Thanks.... Tim ;D

You can dunk a float in warm water. As it warms up, air will bubble out if there are any pinholes.  If there is a hole, pull it out and dry it off, you don't want it pulling in water as it cools.
